About Ali Maya
Ali weaves together spiritual and healing traditions from around the world, creating a uniquely transformative environment for her students.
She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Comparative Religion (focus on Buddhist Studies) in 2000 from New College of Florida, a Master’s in Counselor Education from University of Florida in 2003 and a Masters and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies in 2009. She also spent a year studying Contemplative Psychotherapy at Naropa University in 2001 and completed two years of postdoctoral training at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology from 2006-2008.
Ali has been a passionate student of North and South American shamanism and plant wisdom since 1993. She began teaching yoga and meditation in 1997, and has been a holistic healer, integrating various forms of bodywork, spirituality and psychology, since 1996. She has been an ordained minister since 2008.
